Sorry, to re-open this, but your car shouldn't have passed OOP. Your red rear reflectors must illuminate, because your turn signals on the rear are amber.

I'm not sure i understand... the cars not in my hands anymore, so It shouldn't bother me much, but it's a good friend that owns it and I'd hate for something to come up and him get in trouble for it. Can you explain in further detail? Is this something new? Because when I got it all done I followed the inspection list really closely and had help from members on here. And from what i remembered, it only asked for red reflectors on the rear and orange reflectors on the front. A link or something would be super handy too. I'm not callingyou out, I'm just super curious, because I'm going to bring over another Evo in the future when I can afford it.

none of the photos show the rear corner of the vehicle, so it's hard to say, however if the tail lights wrap around at all, it's not an issue.
Basically if you turn on your headlights at night and view the car from the side and from a distance you should see amber near the front of the car, and red near the back of the car, there should also be matching reflectors (red rear, amber front) Many vehicles have tail lights that wrap around a bit, and in those cases only the reflectors need to be added. (eg. on the delica no light needs to be added back there because there is red from the tail light visible to the side)

...but only the amber wraps around the side, not the red. It must illuminate red at the rear, not amber.

actually, I would believe there's another problem, if it's indeed the turn signal, it also isn't on unless you are turning, meaning that you are without a side marker light at all on the rear of the vehicle (not just the wrong colour)
The proper solution would be either domestic rear light pods (I'm guessing on a lancer that's an option?) or, when you add your reflectors, get the ones with lights in 'em...

The Stick on reflectors are the main solution i use.

exactly. The rear lights are red and can be seen from the side of the vehicle. your fine.
Change the corner lights up front to an amber bulb. Add front and rear reflectors (amber front) (red rear) DOT Lancer Evo lights can be bought from John @ Rocky Mountain for a good price too. I never knew about the LHD evo lights until a little while ago. Its good to know that these can be fully compliant.
