Toronto Star article on RHD in Ontario

Hey guys

First time post I believe so i'm not sure if this is the right section.
We recently did a small interview with the Toronto Star on RHDs in Ontario. It was in light of the recent ban in Quebec.

Though I'de pass it along since there is some good confirmation from the MTO and RIV that no such ban is being considered for Ontario. It has been rumored that such an event might occur (this is my personal conversations with fellow enthusiasts).

Since many of the 7 owners in Canada are RHD owners, I thought I'de post this article. In light of the recent ban in Quebec, many are worried about a trickle effect into Ontario.

The end of the article has some primary info straight from the MTO and RIV about RHDs and importation laws for Ontario.

The article perpetuates the idea that 15 year old grey imports are somehow exploiting a loophole in the law. They're not.

It is a lot more rounded article then most, pointing out both side of the argument in a fairly NON biased way, for Canadian media bravo

I agree with you. We have had this conversation with people on other forums like gtrcanada.com

It is unfortunate that that terminology was used but at the same time, like Jason mentioned, it is quite well rounded.

Yup: one of the better articles, except for the "loophole" bit.

The emphasis, which I agree with, was that many of the vehicles being privately imported are specialist, enthusiast vehicles that do not otherwise exist in the Canadian market place.

I tried to register to leave a comment of my own, but their account system is broken.
