Except that I'm sure that both ford and the police dispatch told him to do exactly that, and in neither case did he do it. (in fact he states that ford told him this and that he tried it and it didn't work) I'm betting more on the lawsuit angle myself... he thinks he can make millions at Ford's expense.

ive heard of things like this happening before... i remember hearing about hwo someone had there car suddenly accelerate at a traffic light when it turned green and the person had to go up on the side walk... seems to me that cruise control should be removed from vehicles.. all vehicles...

i feel that it allows drivers to be even less attentive to the road... one less thing to worry about, which allows them to do other things like make-up, cell phones, etc etc etc etc...

hell even myself i had a near death expereince with a cruise control... and NEVER again will i drive with one...

i was driving down a winding road a few springs ago, had the crusie set on about 58-60kmh(the road was rated at 60kmh) went around a corner lost some speed, so the CC kicked in to keep me at speed.... welll the outside tire was on the gravel/dust left over from winter on the side of the road and when the CC kicked in the tire spun like mad , i lost traction and went off the road down an embankment and ended up stuck in a bush/tree...

cruise control is not something that should be in vehicle

all vehicles equiped with cruise control are 100% more likely to be involved in an accident vs vehicles with no cruise control/
